Desarrollo de un sistema experto para ayudar a la verificación del sistema “TACAN”

Abstract

The air navigation systems implemented to

date, both in military and civilian, are based on

the TACAN system or some variant. Since the

first release, it has been deeply developed and

improved. However, despite it is easy to use, it

has been and remains difficult to understand,

both in performance and in verification terms.

The aim of this research is to expose the

developed Expert System to test the performance

of TACAN system and for training on the

verification of it.

The model has been developed to achieve

improvements on: fault detection, maintenance

time reduction, and remove or minimize the

mistakes on verification tasks.

The efficiency of the model has been verified on

several verification tasks. The achieved results

have been very satisfactory in time reduction,

efficiency and the acceptance by junior operators

undergoing training.
