The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, big data, and digital technologies has accelerated the transformation of media organizations from traditional hierarchical structures to flat organizational models, making human–machine collaborative management a critical approach for enhancing operational efficiency and organizational innovation. This study investigates human–machine collaborative management in flat media organizations by developing an analytical framework integrating resource allocation, process coordination, and organizational agility, grounded in organizational agility theory, human–machine collaboration theory, and the resource-based view. The study examines how intelligent technologies and human resources jointly optimize organizational performance through dynamic resource allocation and collaborative process management. The findings suggest that flat organizational structures facilitate decentralized decision-making, efficient information sharing, and cross-functional collaboration, thereby enabling the dynamic integration of human expertise and artificial intelligence capabilities.
