This edition presents a series of articles on Additive Manufacturing, addressing different topics related to these manufacturing techniques. Although Additive Manufacturing was developed in the 1980s and industrial systems were already in place in the 1990s, its breakthrough in the workshop was in the mid-2000s. Since then, these technologies have been consolidated and absorbed by different industrial sectors until today they are a key group of processes in the current ecological and digital transition of the European industry.
