THE RANCE´S TIDAL POWER PLANT

Resumen

There are plenty of countries that,facing the urgent necessity of new

power sources, look at the offers of the Nature. In this opportunity the pi-

oneering French accomplishment in the estuary of the Rance when fulfill-

ing the 40 years contributes to a good experience and a challenge to

the technicians who, actually, will be the problems solvers.

The political reasons (votes) face the technical reasons (efficiency, pos-

sibilities allowed by the technological developments,…), but the solution

only will arise from the understand-ing, the comprehension and…the cir-

cumstances.
